What time should bedtime be?

We want to ensure that your baby gets enough sleep before going to bed. A tired baby can make it difficult to fall asleep at night. Also, if you aren’t tired enough, it can make it difficult to fall asleep.

You don’t need to go to bed at the same time every night. Ideal is a bedtime “range” that lasts between 30-60 minutes. You could choose to sleep between 7:00 and 8:00 or 7:15-7.45pm. This allows flexibility depending on the time that the last nap was.

How about the bath?

A bath is a great part of my bedtime routine. A bath before going to bed is proven to promote sleep. Here’s how it works: Blood rises to the surface of your skin during a warm bath. This is known as vasodilation. Our body temperature drops slightly when we get out of the bathtub because our blood vessels remain open. We and our babies can both benefit from this slight decrease in core body temperature. Baby’s brain signals that it is time to go to bed by taking a bath at night. This is a great way to get babies ready for bed at night.

Does that mean I have to take a bath every night? It is possible, but not necessary. While some families love to take a bath every night, it doesn’t work for all families.
